Nguyen Manh Hung is the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of Nova International (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (“NOVA”) with significant experience in the development, planning, and implementation of new business operations and in the management of ongoing business processes within the services sector focused on shipping and energy.

Hung has established efficient business solutions and successfully negotiated commercial/joint venture agreements with clients/partners for projects in oil and gas services and in the shipping industry.

With more than  30 years of experience in the energy and shipping industry, including business development leadership positions at PTSC (PetroVietnam’s engineering services subsidiary) and leading NOVA, he has successfully executed and delivered various large capital projects ranging from sale/purchase of marine assets to offshore fabrication and installation packages and advised international energy clients for their business development and operations in Vietnam.

He has an unparalleled network within the energy space in Vietnam and is regarded as a trusted partner both within the government, the state-owned sector, and within the investor community.

Hung has sound management knowledge and experience in negotiations, operations, project management, setting and achieving business objectives, with a proven track record of completing challenging targets. He has excellent financial, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills in the management of multi-disciplined, multi-national personnel teams.

Hung holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, having graduated in 1987.

He has also attended several training courses in negotiation skills, petroleum product trading, project management, and business administration.
